TransPadang Buses are Good public transportation, is It True?

TransPadang buses are the public transportation in Padang City, west Sumatera, Indonesia.

Padang has 15 transpadang buses in 2017. The first TransPadang line opened to the public on 2014, following about 1 week in which it was free to use. Commercial operation started on the next week.

TransPadang buses do not have their own lane that became part of the busway route. The passengers could be late because of this situation.

This bus has a priority seat such as elderly passengers, women with infant, physically handicapped, and pregnant woman. Sometimes, young people won't give their seat to the special passenger that has a priority seat.

Capacity of the bus are 20 people sit down and 20 people stand up. In fact,  the bus stuff makes it into 20 people sit down and 35 people stand up.  Some of the bus stuff do not follow rules but some of them follow the important rules.

We wish TransPadang buses can be better for the passengers in the next day.

  2. I think when we take the bus, if we feel uncomfortable with the super crowd and jostle each other in the bus it is a risk that we must bear because the bus is a public transportation. But I also feel what you feel and it really makes me seem to stop to breathe at that moment. haha
