OPINION ABOUT MY JOURNALISTIC CLASS

Journalistic class gives me some tips and knowledge that I can use for journalism way. I learn so many things here that I don’t know before such as how to interview people in the right way, creating and posting news in blog, and many more.

This class has so many students. That’s too crowded for me. Because of that, I don’t have high expectation for this class. Sometimes, it was difficult for me to catch the material well. I feel uncomfortable in this journalistic class. But I keep trying to create comfortable situation and love this subject. “Introduction to Journalistic” is very important subject and the material is so useful for my study. It helps me to improve my writing skill and communicating skill. Maybe I’ll be a journalist in the future. So, I need pay more attention for this subject.

This class will be better if it has less than 40 students. If more than 40 students, the class will be uncomfortable. Believe me!

The Information Obtain from an Interview with Putri Emma Janet

According to my interview video with my partner Sherly Dwi Putri on October 6th 2017, here some information that I got from Putri Emma Janet.

Being a college student is a way to make your dream come true. Putri Emma Janet (19) is the one of college student in Andalas University, Padang West Sumatera, Indonesia. She is from Sorong, Papua. We know, the distance from Papua to Padang is about 4,211 kilometers. This air travel distance is equal to 2,617 miles. But, that’s not a big problem for Putri. She has to finish the study as soon as possible.

She doesn’t live with her parents in Padang, so this is the one of her problem. In Papua, her parents always help her every day. But now, she has to prepare everything by herself without her parents by her side. So, that’s difficult a little bit for her.

In Padang city, adaptation is not a problem for her. Society in Padang, especially for campus area is not bad and she feels comfortable with it.

She loves Padang because she feels free here; on the other hand she must prepare everything by herself. She has to survive her life in Padang Without parents by her side. Unfortunately, she has a problem with transportation. But now, Online Transportation (Go-Jek) has helped her with transportation.

Don’t give up Putri Emma Janet. I believe, you are able to make your dream come true.

WHAT IS INTERVIEW?

Interview is the activity of asking questions and knowing the answers to get some information on it. The person who answers the questions of an interview is called interviewee, on the other hand the person who asks the questions of our interview is called an interviewer.

There are some types of interviews:

1.      Personal interviews: Personal interviews include:
  • Selection of the employees
  • Promotion of the employees
  • Retirement and resignation of the employees

Of course, this type of interview is designed to obtain information through discussion and observation about how well the interviewer will perform on the job.

2.      Evaluation interviews: The interviews which take place annually to review the progress of the interviewee are called the evaluation interviews. Naturally, it is occurring between superiors and subordinates. The main objective of this interview is to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the employees.

3.      Persuasive interviews: This type of interview is designed to sell someone a product or an idea. When a sales representative talk with a target buyer, persuasion takes the form of convincing the target that the product or idea meets a need.

4.      Structured interviews: Structured interviews tend to follow formal procedures; the interviewer follows a predetermined agenda or questions.

5.      Unstructured interviews: When the interview does not follow the formal rules or procedures. It is called an unstructured interview. The discussion will probably be free flowing and may shift rapidly form on subject to another depending on the interests of the interviewee and the interviewer.

6.      Counseling interviews: This may be held to find out what has been troubling the workers and why someone has not been working.

7.      Disciplinary interviews: Disciplinary interviews are occurring when an employee has been accused of breaching the organization’s rules and procedures.

8.      Stress interviews: It is designed to place the interviewee in a stress situation in order to observe the interviewees reaction.

9.      Public interviews: These include political parties’ radio-television and newspaper.

10.   Informal or conversational interview: In the conversational interview, no predetermined questions are asked, in order to remain as open and adaptable a possible to the interviewee’s nature and priorities; during the interview the interviewer “goes with the flow”.

11.   General interview guide approach: The guide approach is intended to ensure that the same general areas of information are collected from each interviewee this provides more focus than the conversational approach but still allows a degree of freedom and adaptability in getting the information from the interviewee.

12.   Standardized or open-ended interview: Here the same open-ended questions are asked to all interviewees; this approach facilitates faster interviews faster interviews that can be more easily analyzed and compared.

13.   Closed or fixed-response interview: It is an interview where all interviewers ask the same questions and asked to choose answers from among the same set of alternatives. This formal is useful for those not practiced in interviewing.

You Love Clown So Bad. Think about It again, If You Have Watched 'IT' Movie

Hello reader! I'm sorry for being late to this information. But, I'll keep trying to post my writing continually.

Clown (Pennywise) is a main character in IT horror movie. Let me tell you the story of this film. In IT, it's 1988 in the town of Derry, Maine, and little Georgie (Jackson Robert Scott) goes outside in the rain to sail the toy boat that his older brother, Bill (Jaeden Lieberher), made for him. The boat goes down the drain. Looking into the sewer, Georgie encounters a scary clown called Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) and disappears. The following summer, as school lets out, Bill and the other town outcasts -- including pretty Beverly Marsh (Sophia Lillis) and loudmouth Richie Tozier (Finn Wolfhard) -- are beset by bullies. They start to experience terrifying events of their own and notice that other kids in town are disappearing. Thanks to their new friend, Ben (Jeremy Ray Taylor), the teens discover that the waves of evil things seem to happen in cycles of 27 years and that all of it leads back to a well in the basement of a creepy old house. Bill vows to stop whatever it is that killed his brother.

When you watch it, you know what makes Pennywise (clown) is so scary. he is not nice or adorable. He is so creepy and bad. As we know in real life, most children and teenagers do some nice activities with clown. Oh my gosh! Pennywise, can you act like a normal clown? You have made the clown lovers go far away and some movie goers who watched it got heart attack You did it. This horror movie was so scary but I loved it.

Come on watch IT horror movie at cinema. It is out now. Show me your opinion about this film if you have watched it! Thanks for reading :)

Valentino Rossi's Performance at GP Aragon 2017 was Amazing

Hello Reader! Welcome back to my blog! Do you like racing? Do you love Valentino Rossi? Alright, let us talk about MotoGp and Valentino Rossi. Enjoy reading!

    Sunday, September 24, 2017.
I'm going to show Rossi's story about his suffering during GP Aragon. Rossi thought that he was able to ride in GP Aragon,he was so lucky because the leg improved every day.
okay, check his story out!  You can check full version of Rossi's suffering story in here http://www.eurosport.com/moto/aragon-grand-prix/2017/rossi-expects-to-suffer-during-aragon-race_sto6343642/story.shtml

"This morning when I woke up, I was already in a better condition. If I continue like this and tomorrow  make another step, I can do all the race with the leg, but we need to wait and to see.One week ago I started to think that maybe was possible to ride at Aragon. I did some laps with the [Yamaha road bike] R1, so I understood that I could ride but with a lot of pain. But I was lucky because the leg improved every day. Riding [the MotoGP bike] yesterday in the wet was not so bad, I didn't feel a lot of pain in the leg, but I didn't know about the dry one. But already this morning I felt quite good. I could ride, with some pain but not too much, so I could concentrate on the riding. Starting from the front row is always important, for me tomorrow it is also more important because usually it is more easy from the top.  We need to understand, work a bit, because with the race tyre my pace is not fantastic. But we'll try to improve tomorrow."

Valentino Rossi finished at five. When he was not in good condition and with the pain of his right left, he kept trying the best and finishing the race. He was so amazing and never give up.

The result of GP Aragon on Sunday (09/24/2017)
    1. Marc Marqeuz
    2. Dani Pedrosa
    3. Jorge Lorenzo
    4. Maverick Vinales
    5. Valentino Rossi
    6. Alex Espargaro
    7. Andrea Dovizioso
    8. Andrea Bautista
    9. Johann Zarco
    10. Pol Espargaro
    11. Mika Kalio
    12. Andrea Iannone
    13. Jack Miler
    14. Scoot Redding
    15. Tito Rabbat
    16. Jonas Folger
    17. Alex Rins
    18. Hector Barbera

DESCRIPTION AND TECHNIQUES TO CONSIDER IN INTERVIEWING PEOPLE

Good Evening Readers! I Glad to share some information here in my blog. I'm going to share two videos that I have watched on YouTube "Getting Some Tips How to Interview People Based on YouTube Videos ".

    Sunday. September 24, 2017

I have watched two videos about tips of interviewing people on YouTube. I suggest you to watch Ryan Spanger’s Channel and USCCollege’s Channel. Those videos have short duration to watch, if you don’t have much time for watching. But if you want to watch the full version with more complete explanation, I suggest you to watch Yahya Bakkar’s channel “How to Interview & Network with Successful People”. It published on October 27, 2016.

Okay, now I’d like to share my impression and leave comments based on two videos that I have watched. Let’s begin!

    Video 1
    Video 2
How to Interview Someone on Camera
How to Interview People for Their Life Stories
    Ryan Spanger’s YouTube Channel
    Video’s Duration: 3:33
    Published on June 17, 2013
    USCCollege’s YouTube Channel
    Video’s Duration: 4:43
    Published on June 17, 2011
    Tips:
    1. Open Vs Closed Questions.
    2. .Ask Them to Repeat The Question.
    3. Prepare Your Questions.
    4.  Don’t Give out Your Questions .
    5. Stop Talking.
    6. Give Them The Final Word.
    Tips:
    1. Always Ask Easy benign Questions First
    2. Questions Should Always Be Clear and Open-Ended
    3. Build Questions from Your Subject’s Answers
    4. Don’t Feed Interviewee The Answers
    5. Always Wait for The Person to Stop Talking

Those videos show us some useful tips of interviewing people in the right way. Get some information by watching them. Both of them teach us well, clear, have good quality and easy to understand them. In my opinion, Video 2 is more interesting than video 1, because video 2 shows us by using interactive conversation to build up great relationship among the interviewer and the interviewee. There are two people in the video 2, on the other side video 1 took one person in casting. So that’s the reason why, video 2 is more attractive and communicative.

Thank you for reading my blog and see you in the next posting!

CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT THE STUDENTS HAVE TO DO THE HAND WRITING ASSIGNMENTS FOR 400 PAGES?

Good night my adorable reader. Welcome back to my blog. I'd like to report a news tonight. So, happy reading!

    Tuesday, September 5th, 2017

English department students have to take Dasar-Dasar Filsafat Class and Sejarah Pemikiran Modern Class in the third semester. These subjects must be taken for every student in Faculty of Humanities Andalas University.

The lecturer who teaches these subjects is Drs. Purwo Husodo, M.Hum. He will not give the Mid Term Test to his students. His students show the good reaction because of that. But, the happiness disappears after he gave the assignments to replace the Mid Term Test. Ten questions that he gave for each subject. His students have to answer 20 questions totally. Twenty pages for each question minimal (20 pages×20 questions=400 pages). The students have to write down 400 pages minimal and get the good grade. Unfortunately, the students have to do these assignments by using manual way. The manual way is hand writing. Can you imagine that? Are you kidding me? Should we do 400 pages in hand writing? Absolutely, that will kill us.

Sheryn (19) “As a student in the third semester, probably it makes me shock, so stressful. That’s so impossible to do when I am in the third semester. Maybe I am a lazy student but not too lazy. At the least the lecturer should present the teaching methods by using a different way or he should lessen the target and make it into 100 pages minimal”.

Sherly (19) “Oh my god, I am so tired because of these assignments. Can you see my poor fingers? That makes me hurts. Can you imagine what I feel? I need my lovely fingers for helping me to write down this assignment. Now, I don’t care I keep doing it for getting the good grade”.

Nada (19) “Maybe the lecture has a good way for his students, to make us discipline in reading the material. All material must be included into 20 questions with 400 pages. Oh God, that’s so disturbing.”

His students feel disappointed because of this assignment. That’s so stressful and unbelievable his students just keep focusing on his subjects. His students have the more stressful assignment in the other classes. Don’t give up DDF’s and SPM’s students. I believe you are able to finish these assignments.

    Thanks for reading !

    Mentary's shop

    Tuesday, August 29th 2017

Dropshipping is a method to sell the products and a store doesn’t need to keep the products in stock. Being a dropshipper you don’t need to invest thousands or billion of rupiah to restock the products.

Mentari Cyntya Rifni is a student of Andalas University Indonesia. She is a dropshipper. She started this business when she was in junior high school. She love being a dropshipper because, she doesn’t have to worry about packing and shipping the orders. Of course, she doesn’t need to order the product continually and managing stock level. When she has a new customer and asks products to her. She will find out the customer’s orders in internet and resell those products for more expensive price. She gets some money by using this way. Dropshipping already save her life.

Unfortunately, she ever got a bad experience. Someone has deceived her by using the fake online shop account but, she didn’t care about that.

Now she has her own online shop in instagram. The first one is Munday.id and the second one is Mandyshop.

TransPadang Buses are Good public transportation, is It True?

TransPadang buses are the public transportation in Padang City, west Sumatera, Indonesia.

Padang has 15 transpadang buses in 2017. The first TransPadang line opened to the public on 2014, following about 1 week in which it was free to use. Commercial operation started on the next week.

TransPadang buses do not have their own lane that became part of the busway route. The passengers could be late because of this situation.

This bus has a priority seat such as elderly passengers, women with infant, physically handicapped, and pregnant woman. Sometimes, young people won't give their seat to the special passenger that has a priority seat.

Capacity of the bus are 20 people sit down and 20 people stand up. In fact,  the bus stuff makes it into 20 people sit down and 35 people stand up.  Some of the bus stuff do not follow rules but some of them follow the important rules.

We wish TransPadang buses can be better for the passengers in the next day.
